Xàbia Activa

We're a company offering tourism based on physical and sports activities in the countryside, respecting nature and traditions and complementing it all with a cultural content that shows visitors the historic and landscape value of the Marina Alta region.

Framed by the headlands of San Antonio and La Nao, Xàbia is in the northern Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante. Sheltered from cold winds by the mountainous barrier of the Montgó nature reserve and other mountain ranges, Xàbia is in an ideal central location for doing cultural and sports activities in the Marina Alta.

Les Termes (Illa Portitxol Sud) - Xàbia

An extraordinary dive, where we can enjoy stunning back lighting effects created by a series of arches and rock gorges on the underwater islet. On this seabed, with rocky substrate alternating with sandy substrates, we can observe red scorpion fish, white sea bream and salema, and it is probable that we will run across slippery dusky
grouper. Small cracks and holes multiply on the islet's wall, where crustaceans such as lobster and slipper lobster, as well as meagre and moray eel, can be viewed.

La Granadella - Xàbia

A small, picturesque cove, where we can dive from the coast. Using the left wall as a reference, at -3 metres, we go through a small rocky arch, and continue touring the numerous large rocks that flank the route, with hollows occupied by octopus and a few crustaceans, such as the slipper lobster. As we separate from the wall, the seabed is covered by posidonia (seed-bearing plants), home to species such as the needlefish and squid.

El Tangó - Xàbia

The cove El Tangó, also known as El Pope, offers a good chance for an entertaining and simple dive from the beach.

The cove is very close to the nautical club, beside the outer breakwater of the harbour and with a restaurant opening directly onto it. Its greatest difficulty lies precisely in reaching the water with the heavy diving equipment since it has to be carried over some awkward boulders.

María Claudia - Xàbia

Just past the island of Portixol, heading towards Cabo de la Nao, there is a small islet, La Mona de l'illa, the setting for this new gateway to the blue. The dive consists of going right round it and for that it is best to anchor a little way off, so that if you stay on a bearing of some 120°, on descending by the anchor cable you will probably find the entrance to a small cave, in fact a chimney, starting at a depth of some 11 metres and rising to about seven metres, where there are some openings that create pretty lighting effects.
