Turia Natural Park

Description

Turia Natural Park is a valuable Mediterranean lithophytic forest located on the plains of the Turia River. It has a total area of 4,692 ha, which extends for 35 km through the regions of L'Horta, El Camp de Túria and Los Serranos.

Sierra Calderona Natural Park

Description

Sierra Calderona Natural Park is on the right bank of the Palancia River.  Here you can contemplate one of the most characteristic nature reserves in our territory. Its rocky surroundings are formed by ravines and slopes that offer visitors incredible views. The Gorgo (907 m) and Garbí (601 m) peaks are also worth highlighting, as they are ideal for mountain sports.

Description

Albufera Natural Park is an undisputed symbol of the city of Valencia, a perfect place to visit if you are in this city. It is located just 25 kilometres away, and for this reason, many Valencians choose this destination to spend a day with nature. Public transport is available and there are accessible car parks due to its proximity to the beaches. 

Chera Geological Park

A park to enjoy outdoors

The Geological Park of Chera covers most of the municipality of this locality located within the Region of Valencia. It is an outdoor park, which contains the exemplary representation of the geological structure of a Tectonic Trench, which is an elongated morphological depression, limited by large fractures that break the land into blocks, some of which have sunk.

Municipal Museum of Requena

 

Fossils, rocks, minerals ...

The museum has a collection of Natural Sciences that is divided into two, one devoted to "The Ecosystems of the Region" and another devoted to the "Regional Geology". The latter presents, following a stratigraphic treatment and a chronological order, fossils, rocks, minerals and formations of the different eras present in the region.
