Alicante: central coastline

Alicante's central coastline: from San Joan d'Alacant to Elx

While further north the garbí, that wind that rises at noon and, rolling west, fades with the sunset, is king, in these lands the libeccio breeze. The mythical “sirocco”, which is very hot in summer and of a moderate temperature in winter, comes from the southwest, and strolls as if it were in its own home between the Cape Nao and the Cape Gata, in Almería.

Valencia: southern coastline

Valencia's southern coastline: from Sueca to Oliva

The region of the Valencian coast stretching from the immense plains that start from the edge of the Natural Park of l’Albufera to the not-so-distant Sierra de Corbera is known as the Ribera Baixa; on its land rice cultivation features prominently.

Castellon: northern coastline
