Discover the nature

Discover the meaning of nature in the raw!

Practising ecotourism gives you the chance to immerse yourself in nature in its wildest form. Discover the plant and animal species that inhabit the wide range of protected areas and their ecosystems. Learn by observing their needs. What do they eat? Where do they live? You can do all this while you enjoy the surrounding area and its nature.

Protected natural areas

The Region of Valencia is home to a huge range of ecosystems that are unique for their plant and animal life. Across all three of the region's provinces, Castellón, Valencia and Alicante, there are protected areas where mountain ranges, forests, islands and wetlands form an attractive landscape offering visitors some amazing contrasts.

Interpretative hiking

Interpretative hiking allows hikers to get as much information as possible while they are out and about in the countryside. The way the activity is done takes into account factors like the geology of the soil, rivers and mountains, knowledge about the plant and animal species living in each ecosystem, or discovering how time has left its mark through the interpretation of cultural heritage.

Nature workshops

If what you're looking for is feeling at one with nature while you learn and contribute responsibly to sustainable development, then ecotourism is your best option.

Nature workshops can become an alternative tourism activity, as in addition to being a recreational pastime, they also make a positive contribution towards improving the environment. These kinds of activities are usually educational, giving you information about the place you're visiting and enabling you to connect with nature while you enjoy your time there.

Sea kayaking

Kayaking is one of the sports that has gained the greatest devotees in recent times, since it’s ideal for discovering the most inaccessible landscapes of the Valencian coast.

Surfing

The natural beauty of the environment, anticipation and reward, are sensations you will experience the first moment you get on a surfboard.
