Palace of Beatriz de Borgia

The castle of Castellnovo had its heyday in the mid-15th century, when it became the property of Beatriz de Borgia, sister of Rodrigo Borgia, future Pope Alexander VI, and niece of Pope Calixtus III. She turned the castle into a palace with a beautiful Renaissance appearance, as a show of ostentation, distinction and power.

Sanz de Vallés Palace

The Palacio de los Sanz is one of the most remarkable architectural gems of 15th century Valencian Civic Gothic architecture. In the early 1400s, the estate belonged to Xàtiva resident Jaume Vallés, who named it after his family, but it later became the property of the landowning Sanz family, who also lived in the city.

Archaeological remains of the Palacio Ducal de los Borgia (Ducal Palace of the Borgias)

The Palacio Ducal de los Borgia is in the top part of Castelló de Rugat, in Plaza Palau. It was built by the Bellvis family in the 14th and 15th centuries. It subsequently passed into the hands of the Borgias, who extended and improved it. The palace was used by the family as a summer residence and was enjoyed by four generations of the Borgia family. The property was finally acquired by the Frasquet family, who were local landowners and the last people to own the building.

Palace of the Borgias in Xàtiva

The Palace was built in the 15th century and was the headquarters of the archdeacon of the Collegiate Church, a position that was always held a Canon from València Cathedral. Over the impressive arched entrance there is a coat of arms belonging to Calixtus III plus another two heraldic shields from the Borgia-Oms branch of the family, possibly belonging to Roderic or Cèsar Borgia, Archbishops of València.

Palacio Ducal

The Borgia family's Palacio Ducal in Gandía, listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest since 1964, is one of the most iconic civic buildings in València's historic heritage. Set in the heart of the historic city centre, alongside the Collegiate Church of Santa María and the City Hall, it has witnessed the changing history of the capital of La Safor practically since its foundation.
