Sequer lo Blanch, the flavour of Valencia's market gardens

Restaurant in traditional Valencian farmhouse on the Holy Grail Route. You'll find genuine Valencian recipes using produce freshly harvested from the market gardens. Recipes using local produce include potatoes with all i oli de xufa (tiger nut garlic mayonnaise) and fartons (sponge fingers) with a range of fillings. Plus craft beer made from xufa (tiger nut), a tuber used for making horchata (tiger nut milk).

This restaurant, which is also an horchata bar, shows how this drink originally from Alboraya is made.

Horchatería Daniel

Horchatería Daniel is one of the most iconic places in the city to drink natural tiger nut milk (horchata). They have been making 100% natural artisan horchata and authentic sponge fingers (fartons) since 1949.

The family's first establishment opened in 1960 on the ground floor of their home and in 1979, Daniel opened the Horchatería on the avenue that would later become Avenida de la Horchata and where they started receiving visits from the most famous celebrities of the era.

Sequer Lo Blanch

Sequer lo Blanch is the setting for a series of gastronomic and cultural products out together in Alboraya for people who want to enjoy creative activities based on tiger nuts (chufa) and natural tiger nut milk (horchata), the charming drink of the market gardens, as well as rice with distinctive flavours and aromas, seasonal vegetables and fruit plus products from the surrounding area and nearby regions.

Planta i Cull

Alquería Planta i Cull is a workshop school / museum house in the market gardens around Alboraya and was set up to respond to interest about vegetable growing, organic farming and the rural lifestyle. By providing "Agro-Education" we aim to teach people about this way of life, especially children at pre-school and primary level.

The workshop school is based on the ground floor of a farmhouse in a large room where workshops are held, plus there are two rooms on the second floor (originally used as a space for drying tobacco, tiger nuts and so on) which house the museum displays.

Món Orxata

Món Orxata S.L. (World of Horchata) is a company based in Alboraia, Valencia, owner of the “Món Orxata” mobile vending points and of “Orxata Coffee Shop” premises, promoting the tiger nut (chufa) and natural tiger nut milk (horchata) with Designation of Origin on the streets and in the most iconic locations across Valencia.

We invite you to come and see inside the exciting world of Valencia's chufa and horchata.

Parish of La Asunción de Nuestra Señora

Set in the heart of the historic centre of Alboraya is the town's majestic Virgen de la Asunción parish church, dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption following the tradition set by King Jaume I when he reconquered lands occupied by the Moors in Valencia. The building, which dates from the 18th century, has a high altar presided over by a wood carving of the Assumption, flanked by two other wood carved figures of the Apostles Peter and Paul.

Ermita dels Peixets

In the seaside town of Alboraya there is a chapel on the seashore that was built to commemorate a miracle, the Ermita dels Peixets (the chapel of the little fishes). The chapel, dedicated to the Most Holy Sacrament, stands in memory of the miracle that, according to the legend, took place on this very spot in the 14th century.
